Interesting Facts

One of the most interesting facts about Oworonshoki is how the community name was coined and its meaning. Again, Oworonshoki is conveniently situated, making it a desirable place to settle. Despite being a middle-class neighbourhood, Oworonshoki has produced stars who are quite proud to claim Oworonshoki as their birthplace. It is a place where communal living is fundamentally practised. The Oworo Papa playground is one of the shared spaces, lands, and amenities among them. It is a field where residents and locals can enjoy top-notch sports, recreation, and entertainment for most of their activities.

Leisure and Shopping

Even though there aren't any huge malls or plazas in Oworonshoki, there are still shops and supermarkets along the roads. Residents don't have to worry about travel time to get to the well-known Miyaki and Olojojo markets or to shops in the neighbourhood. They also organise activities for leisure like the Oworo Slumparty, where the members use dance and performance art to question people's perceptions of slums in Lagos.

Popular Estates

Housing patterns, architecture, and amenities have all changed dramatically over time in Oworonshoki. It will continue to behave in this way. There aren't many estates in Oworonshoki that have the essentials, like paved and tarred roads, reliable sources of power, a steady supply of water, and better security, but Octo5 Housing Development Holding has proposed a project in collaboration with the Oworonshoki ruling family, and it's a crucial part of the ambitious urban renewal plans designed to hasten the neighborhood's transformation. At the moment, there are two estates at Oworonshoki. These are the Akerele estate and the Maverick estate.

Day Life

Although the social scene in Oworonshoki is not very vibrant, the residents, especially the young people, are working to ensure that the state government understands their needs and creates programs that will encourage rapid development there. As a result, the Oworonshoki Basketball Court was renovated and is currently in use. Nevertheless, in the midst of a hectic day, you may also relax and refuel at Just Pasta, God's Favor Restaurant, WashDine, Momma's Bukka, and Sylva Links Hotel.

Night Life

Oworonshoki is a neighbourhood that closes down at night since it's not entirely safe and everyone needs to be on alert, but that doesn't mean there aren't occasional activities that go on until after dark. Residents are typically kept amused until daybreak thanks to the Oworo dancing group. Additionally, the neighbourhood doesn't have many bars where residents can have a drink before retiring to bed, but there are establishments like the VIP bar and Blessed bar.
