Messrs SC&B Carlton, has embarked on a new project in Surulere area of Lagos Mainland Estate. The proposed estate called SC&B Carlton Estate is a 7,529.512 square metres (sqm) landed property is located at highbrow Census Close, off Babs Animashaun Street, Surulere.

The residential estate, comprises of 22 units of terrace houses, designed on three levels comprising the master’s Bedroom, occupying the entire pent floor, an ante room, a living room, family lounge, a guest room and three bedrooms en-suite, including a boy’s quarters attached.

Among the ancillary facilities proposed in the design are four units of retail shops, playing ground for children, dedicated events hall for the residents, administrative office and dedicated power plant and water facility.

There is also provision for perimeter fencing to be erected with a gatehouse, including CCTV surveillance cameras at the strategic locations.

Projected to cost about ₦850 million, the estate which be financed by Enterprise Bank, has nine months duration completion date. Works have already commenced fully this week with the clearing of the site, equipments and workers of various areas have been mobilised.

Speaking on the cost of each house unit, the Managing Director of SC&B Carlton Estate, Mr. Mike Oghene Ochuko said it would cost N50 million, with different payment arrangement prepared in their memorandum of understanding (MOU).

According to him, payment arrangement are in four phases of 30 per cent, initial payment, 30 per cent second payment and 25 per cent and 15 per cent for the third and final payment. “However, for those who may want to pay en-bloc, there is going to be a two per cent discount”.

He hinted that a brewery firm has indicated interest of buying a larger part of the units. As at last week, we are expecting their commitment letter, which would make the remaining units to be competitive”.
